Over Earth Day weekend, the Pleasant Grove VFD held a trash pick-up along FM 1002. Seven volunteers from the department, and an additional five family members of the volunteers, pitched in to clean up both sides of the roadway from the fire station all the way to where FM 1002 meets highway 155. A total of 75 bags of trash were picked up along the three-mile stretch on Sunday, April 24. The trash was then hauled away by the Texas Department of Transportation.
